Snow goggle technology has been in a deep freeze for decades. In response, Oakley tore apart the whole concept of goggles and reinvented them from scratch. The result? The Oakley Splice goggles, which combine all-day comfort with a high-quality UV-resistant lens. The Splice goggles feature a unique skeletal support system with an architecture that spans the entire nasal area. The system reduces pressure on the nose by tuning the distribution of contact forces across critical zones. As if that's not enough, the system also maximizes airflow. The goggles also include an O Matter frame material that remains flexible even in extreme cold, helping keep the seal around your face even when the mercury drops. Add in a moisture-wicking triple-layer fleece foam lining and strap outriggers that evenly balance pressure and you have one of the most comfortable goggles ever created for winter sports.

Oakley's lenses, such as this VR28 lens, help boost contrast and improve depth perception (filtered image on the left).
Of course, a great fit is meaningless if you can't see the mountain, which is why Oakley added an interchangeable lens design with semi-flush mounting. This optimizes downward visibility while maximizing side-to-side vision. Oakley's designers matched the optical innovations in lens contouring with such structural refinements as strap outriggers that are engineered to stay out of the way while maintaining a panoramic view with wide-open peripheral vision. The Oakley tech team then went even further, designing a way to eliminate the keyhole structures that normally come with interchangeable lenses. As a result, the process of lens changing has never been faster or more efficient. In addition, all Splice lenses are dual vented and equipped with Oakley's F3 anti-fog technology, keeping the fog from dampening your self-confidence. Finally, the Plutonite lenses filter out 100 percent of all UVA, UVB, and UVC rays while offering unrivaled impact protection.

As a bonus, you can choose an optional Iridium lens coating to balance light transmission and make the most of your snow session. Optimized to fit medium to large faces, the Splice goggles come in a variety of colors and lens tints.

Oakley® may have redesigned the concept of snow goggles with the Splice. They have an interchangeable lens design that features semi-flush mounting, a means of optimizing downward visibility. Side-to-side vision is also maximized. The strap outriggers stay out of the way and maintain a panoramic view, while an internal skeletal support system reduces nasal pressure and maximizes airflow.
